Hi everyone This Sunday 27th April, Eureka is hosting mountain bike orienteering event at Linton (start/finish at the Linton PS). We now have over 50 riders registered – but there is room for more! So if you have a bike, dust it off and come out to have a ride around the beautiful bush. If you’d rather have a walk or jog, we can supply the maps for a special low price (the extras we always print). The forest is just turning green after the recent rains and is much less thick due to controlled burning in the area over the past year. So roll out or just show up and we’ll show you what mtbo is all about. The map is adjacent to the Linton – Ballarat rail trail and just east of Linton is the famous Devil’s Kitchen, Bird Park and the huge Nimmons Bridge – all within 30 minutes ride of the start finish at the primary school. We’ll need some help from club members at the parking / registration / start / finish / and picking up controls so if you can help just nominate the time you’d like to help for an hour (before or after your ride/run) and email Ian on ian@chennell.com . We are offering a small streamer / flag course around the school grounds for under 10’s, so toss their bikes and lunch in and make a day of it. Rego opens at 10 am – last start time is 12 noon – and we should be all packed up by 2pm. So finish off this holiday with a ride / walk around the historic town of Linton. Hope to see you there.
