Hi all

If you somehow missed the results of the World Championships Sprint in Brazil – Jenny (W60) has won her first World Championships Sprint. But wait there may be more… Saturday is the final of the World Championships Long Distance. Jenny and husband Geoff (M55) are both in the top 5 in the two qualifying races so a medal for both is not out of the question. So put 2014 World Orienteering Championships, Brazil, Results into your search engine and watch early on Sunday.

Closer to home Monica, Declan and Blake are off to the 2014 Victorian MTO Champs at Eldorado and Stanley tomorrow. After the Vic Sprint Champs (set by Blake) last Saturday both Monica (W40-) and Declan (M-16) claimed top spot in their age classes. Dale (W70-) beat her Kiwi friend Yett, Mark Valentine celebrated riding in M60- with a strong 2nd and Tony Keeble took a well deserved 3rd in M40-. Our up and coming juniors – Harrison Keeble (M-14) and Geordie Dickson (M-12) came within 1 control of winning their classes – but they did not punch the last control before the finish. Bad luck fellows – better luck next time.

So watch the Brazil website for the Lawfords heroics – and Eventor for the Eureka mtbo assault at the northeast.

Cheers

Blake
