Not sure whether Jenny got any responses about the Club Relays coming up on Sunday week, but we have to nominate our numbers and classes of teams by tomorrow evening (Thursday 29th). Individual names can be allocated to the teams and changed up till Thursday next week, but the number of Eureka teams in each class need to be entered now, so that map printing and course gaffling can be planned.
Please let me know by reply email ASAP, if you’re intending to run, and what Course you’d like to do – 1, 2, 3 or 4.
I’m intending on going, and will run a 2 or 3, if anyone wants to join me in a Course 2, Course 3 or Mixed Course 5 team.

The Vic Relay Champs will be held on Sunday 9 October at Brimbank Park in Melbourne. First leg runners will start at 11am. Eureka would like to enter as many teams as possible. The area offers relatively easy orienteering in an open parkland setting. Relays are fun events with nobody taking them seriously, so don't be afraid that "you're not fast enough". If you'd like to orienteer that day, come along. We need to enter by 28 Sept, but as I am going away to Qld before then, I'd like to hear from any interested runners by this Wednesday ( 21st). You need to tell me which course you'd like to run ( and what course is your second preference - numbers mean I may have to move people off their preferred course) and also if you have a strong preference for which leg you'd like. The courses are Course 1. 7km (hard navigation) Course 2. 5km (hard navigation) Course 3. 3 km ( moderate navigation) Course 4. 2km ( easy navigation) Course 5. A mix of the above courses - used so that everybody can be fitted into a team. ( I think the "hard navigation" mentioned above is nothing like the hard navigation at today's event at Chapel Flat!!!!)
