[EurekaO] Vic MTBO Sprint on the RACV Golf Course a Resounding Success

Thanks to all those members who attended, rode or helped at the Victorian MTBO Sprint Championships on the RACV Goldfields Resort Golf Course. We had bad luck with the total fire bans (postponing the Long and Middle events) on both Saturday and Sunday – but since the Resort is on private land, the owners permitted us to ride on Sunday morning BEFORE the golfing. Tony’s excellent map, using Lidar data from Ken, and hid attention to all details made Peter Cusworth’s courses challenging and very well received. Thanks to Ian and his perfect 2 tv screen results – all set up and working in less than 45 minutes. With the team of Mark, Tim and Els, Monica, BJ, Rose and Andrew, James, Dale and Blake – coupled with Bayside and Yarra Valley workers the result was positive. Now we need to get behind Warwick W and John Erwin’s organisation of next Sunday’s event at Mt Beckworth. Finally congratulations to Cooper and Sam Northey who rode their first official course by themselves – impressive work by our youngest EU riders!
