Eureka has a new schoolboys champion – Declan Dickson – who won the Victorian Schools Mountain Bike Championships at the You Yangs on Friday. Declan (St Patrick’s College, Ballarat) rode well to score maximum points (all 25 controls) to win the Junior Boys division. Congratulations Declan we look forward to watching your progress – both on the bike and foot orienteering over the next few years. We will try to entice more riders/runners from Ballarat – St Patrick’s College, Ballarat Secondary College, Ballarat Grammar and Ballarat and Clarendon College – for the 2013 School Championships – the first step on the ladder to state and national success.
