Entries closed on Eventor last night but you can still do entry on the day! We’ve printed extra maps for all courses – with the emphasis on the easy and very easy courses.
Course 5 only has 3 contour lines that you cross going uphill on a main track – in other words it really flat! A great first course for anyone starting orienteering. It would be ideal for family groups or the group of 2 or 3 children.
We are just into school holidays so why not bring your children – or grandchildren – and get out in the bush around the base of iconic Mt Beckworth, the mount with the lollipop tree!
Just follow the Ballarat bypass west to the turnoff to Clunes/ Maryborough (C287), follow C287 thru Miners Rest and the racecourse, then turn left towards Coghills Creek and follow the signs/directions on Goggle maps. It’s about a 25 minute drive from Ballarat just over the divide. This is the first of four events in the Ballarat area over the next 4 weeks – a great time to get out and try our healthy sport during COVID times.
