Gavin Jamieson, father of Ian and Sally and husband of our beloved Jenni, passed away this week. I have no details at this point other than the note in the FoCC newsletter yesterday.
On the positive side Gary’s Summer P&S series has been gathering participation with his enthusiasm for orienteering bubbling over at each of the 3 events so far. Next Tuesday’s FREE event is at Buninyong, DeSoza Park, at 5:30.
Map updating has just about been complete for the Ballarat Sprints – Eureka Challenge – with Ballarat HS, Damascus College, Fed Uni Mt Helen and Fed Uni SMB TAFE campus all updated by Roch and Rod. Should be a real hoot of a weekend with 6 short events (less than 20 minutes each) planned. Check Eventor for details and let Roch know how you can help at the registration, start, finish or collecting controls.
Eureka still seems to be missing a START tear-drop banner in a long black canvas case. Have a look in the boot if your car or garage to locate this valuable item needed for the busy 2024 season please.
Time to renew your membership with OVic and Eureka for 2024. And if you haven’t recorded your working with children card number with Blake please send a photo by email of your card or paper notification.
Looks like a very busy year for our enthusiastic little club so do plan to come to some of the summer FREE events and then roll along to the Ballarat Sprints, MTBO at Creswick Forest and the Ballarat Classic events every month.
