Hi everyone
With one day to go – Sundays Aus Sprint – the Prendergast team is going well in WA. Today Aislinn won W21E by an impressive margin – to add to her 4th in the Aus Middle Champs and 1st in W21E Relay last weekend (teamed with Mila and Natasha Key). Roch’s M55A team took 2nd last Sunday- and he hopes to put in a good final run in the Sprint tomorrow.
Weather is looking cool but clear for our local event TOMMOROW at Yuille Wetlands at the east end of Vickers street in Sebastopol – across the street from Christian College. Ian has set 5 courses that will let you explore this little-know area along the Yarrowee River. Entry on the day is possible as long as the supply of spare maps holds out so be early. Courses open at 10am – and close at 12 noon. With lots of path options – connecting many controls on each course, navigation should avoid the green patches of blackberries and swampy bits of the map. Several legs thru the pine plantations or around them will test everyone. So start term 4 with a good workout – and practice for Sarah and Bill’s Lake Daylesford event in a fortnight.
Hope for a good roll up at Yuille!
Cheers Blake
